Hello all! Long time reader, first time poster. We have a client setup with terminal servers and an app server that contains all of their apps and printers for remote access. They typically use thin clients, although some users are on full PC's. They made the switch from Citrix to 2x back in July I believe and have been very happy with the speed and functionality. One piece of functionality they lost, unfortunately. They have a Kyocera KM-4050 that they used to be able to remote fax from. They would select the printer in Word and it would bring up the printers "Fax TX settings" which would allow them to type in the fax number as well as add a cover sheet if they so chose. After the swtich to 2x, this dialog no longer comes up. We had tried re-adding the printer and tried all sorts of fax drivers. They are able to fax from the printer directly, but not remotely. She stated outside of her 2x session, she is able to fax remotely. Is there a setting or limitations in 2x revolving around faxing remotely? There is no issues printing to the printer, but faxing simply does nothing. I'm relatively new at this sort of thing, so any help would be appreciated.
I think it would be a good idea to contact 2X support and see if they can reproduce this for you maybe. They advertise universal printing so maybe this functionality is not included, but it would be best to run this by them directly.
