Hi Experts! This is going to be my first experience with remote computing. I need your help. I have windows 7 Professional installed on my Main Desktop whcih has MS Office installed on it. I also have a windows 7 Home premium laptop which does not have MS Office. I need to use Msoffice remotly on my laptop. For this purpose, I am planning to install 2X application server on my Main Desktop which has windows 7 Professional and then publish MS office(MS Word/Excel) with 2X application server. To access MS Office(Word/Excel) on my laptop, I am planning to install 2X Client. My questions is: Is it possible to install 2x applciation server on Windows 7 Professional? I know, it works with Microsoft windows server editions, but I dont want to go with servers. I heared windows 7 professional has RDP. Please help me in this matter. Re: Publishing Application on 2X application Server(on Windows7) Please note that Application server extends a windows terminal server. Windows 7 is not a terminal server. However you can install VDS instead of AS and use the feature called Remote PCs.
