    Hi Experts!

This is going to be my first experience with remote computing. I need your help. I have windows 7 Professional installed on my Main Desktop whcih has MS Office installed on it. I also have a windows 7 Home premium laptop which does not have MS Office. I need to use Msoffice remotly on my laptop.

For this purpose, I am planning to install 2X application server on my Main Desktop which has windows 7 Professional and then publish MS office(MS Word/Excel) with 2X application server. To access MS Office(Word/Excel) on my laptop, I am planning to install 2X Client.

My questions is: Is it possible to install 2x applciation server on Windows 7 Professional? I know, it works with Microsoft windows server editions, but I dont want to go with servers. I heared windows 7 professional has RDP. Please help me in this matter. I will higly appreciate your kind help.

    Best Regards,
    Waseem

    Hi there,

    did you try it?
Anyway, even when Desktop system allow RDP connections that are not terminal server.
Usually the number of connections is limited.

As you know from our website (http://www.2x.com/applicationserver/asfeatures.html):

2X Publishing Agent and 2X SecureClientGateway are preferebly installed on the following operating system; Windows 2008/R2 Server/Enterprise Server; Windows 2003 Server/Enterprise Server; Windows 2000 Server/Advanced.

2X Terminal Server Agent must be installed on Windows 2008/R2 Server/Enterprise Server with Terminal Services enabled; Windows 2003 Server/Enterprise Server with Terminal Services enabled; Windows 2000 Server/Advanced Server with Terminal Services enabled.

    Kind regards,
