Hello, I'm new to the forum and to 2x. we're currently testing the product and really like what we've seen so far. I did just run into an issue with the beta client though.

Just noticed that RDP 6 on two vista boxes no longer works after installing the Beta client... Remote desktop fires up, but any time a connection is made it hangs at the Enter your Credentials prompt (and then promptly crashes). Haven't found an easy fix yet other than uinstalling the beta. that appears to resolve the issue. I'll post back if I can figure out what the conflict is.

    Thanks,

    Re: Beta client and Vista

Could you please specify which client is hanging?? Is it the Microsoft client or the 2X client that is "hanging".

When you mention the "Enter your Credentials prompt" is this after the RDP connection has been done or before on the client's dialog box?

What do you really mean by a crash? Do you get the Error report dialog box or the application just does not reply?

    Thanks for the reply.

It's actually the Microsoft RDP client that hangs.

    The process is as follows:
    I Run mstsc.exe
I type in a server address and click connect.
Normally a Windows Security / Enter your Credentials screen will display at this point which allows you to type in a username and/or PW. Since installing the beta client, it now hangs while opening this window. When this happens the window also displays a message about "Looking for Credential Tiles." This is before RDP ever connects to the target server.

By crash I mean the program stops responding and a windows error message pops up onscreen saying that "Remote Desktop Connection has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

For a little background, this has happened on two of my test machines running windows Vista. One is Vista Business, the other is Ultimate.

    Thanks for your help,

    Drew

    Hi EvilDrew,

Thanks for you post, we managed to replicate your issue.

To solve this issue on Windows Vista, when installing 2X Client beta 407, do not install Single Sign on.

Interesting. Well cool then, I'll reinstall without the single sign-on component and post back if there are any problems. As a side note, I've been really impressed so far with the client, and appreciate your assistance with this.

    Thanks,

    Drew
