2X AppServerClient 100% CPU Usage

    We are using 2X Application Server Client Version 5.1 Build 303.

    As soon as an update is available, we update all users' machines with it.

    It is after applying the latest update that was released this week that I started getting complaints of workstations locking up. Upon investigation, I found the culprit to be the program APPServerClient.exe running from
    C:\Program Files\2X\ApplicationServer Client\AppServerClient.exe

    While monitoring system performance, I can see CPU utilization in the low percentages (<15%) from other background processes. As soon as the 2X AppServerClient.exe is launched, that process has 100% CPU utilization and it does not let up, even after several minutes.

    The twist to the problem is that not all of the workstations are having this problem. So far, I have been unable to find any correlation between the machines that are having problems versus the machines that are not having problems. All machines are forced to have all windows updates and corporate anti-virus with up-to-date definitions.

    I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the 2X client on a problem workstation and it made no effect whatsoever. The problem still existed.

    Since the problem was coming from the 2X AppServerClient - I was wondering if there was any precedence to this problem or any known issues/fixes.

    Hi there,

    Can try and rename the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\2X to some thing else and relaunch the client.
