2x connections could not be found

    Hi guys!

I'm having trouble making a 2x connection to my server. Getting:

    Code:
    ---------------------------
    Code [01/00000004]

The specified remote 2X Connection could not be found.
Verify that you have typed the correct computer name or IP address, and then try to connect again.
    ---------------------------
I've made a Terminal Server Connection using the same settings which works fine.

    Running
2X Client Version: 6.1.7600 (80) on win xp sp3 on company network
    SMB Applicationserver version 9.0, build 1073 on virtual Server 2008 R2 64bit

Going through logs, nothing appears to indicate incoming connections... I was thinking local firewall problem, but since the regular Terminal Server can make connections, that seems unlikely.

    Any hints please?

UPDATE: Also tried accessing server from client on another machine, with the same result.

Thanks a million... must have been the only thing I didn't try. Amazing :)

Opening the right ports (443+80) solved the problem... but I have a new one.

When starting a published application I get:

    ---------------------------
[1800] - The remote computer has ended the connection.
    ---------------------------

Now (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=968) suggests it might be a matter of an old RDP on the client. Mine's 6.1.7600.16722 (installed along with 2x client). Got the newest from Microsoft, just to be sure - said I was already up to date.

I checked the log on the server. Seems log in is fine, but when application should be run, nothing is logged...

Thanks a million :) Opening ports 80 and 443 did it for me.

    Hi there,

do you have the same issue using MSTSC?

Did you try the hotfix (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/898713)?

Which connection mode do you use?
    Please use the "gateway" mode.

Did you limited the ammount of allowed connections to the TS (see TS settings)?

    Do you have enough CALs?

For troubleshooting disable even firewalls and antivirus.

    Kind regards,

    Hi GS,

Thanks for the reply - as noted above, the issue has been resolved by opening ports... sorry to take your time :)
