jobs rapidly submitted within short period of time.

Our client has a problem printing from finance application which prints number of invoices (from 10 to 15) at a time. I was able to reproduce this behaviour on a test environment just by pressing rapidly print button in any application (outlook, WordPad) a few times in a row.

When 3 or more jobs are submitted at the same time Acrobat Reader on user workstation comes up with an error “There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found.” Usually from 3 jobs 1 or 2 jobs give an error, the rest is printed correctly.

Foxit Reader shows the same behaviour, only it gives more precise message, for example: “c:\Docu..\....\Temp\004200001.pdf. Couldnot open file.” The pdf file mentioned in the error message does not exist in user’s temp directory.

It looks like 2X client calls pdf reader to print certain file, but does not create this file beforehand.

Both 2x client and server 6/421. Server OS windows 2003 R2 SP2. Client OS – XP SP2 and Vista.

We get that error message in our published apps as well. I am not able to find any commonality among different users and different computer configurations. I have found a fix for any user that has gotten the error message that you stated. All my tablet's run Vista with Adobe Reader 8, but if I downgrade adobe from 8 to 7, no more error message. Printing is fine.

Same problem - but the workaround doesn't help

We have the same problem in our environment. The clients won't print more then the first page of the multiple printorders.
We have downgraded from Adobe Reader 8 to 7 and to 6 too, but no change the same error is coming up. The clients are W2KSP4 with 2x Appl. Client Build 421.

As in an other thread suggested i have changed the transmission format from pdf to emf , but the result whas a broken rdp connection. Nothing was printed out.

    Has anyone a solution?
