I am running into a problem with a published application and printing to PDF using the 2X universal print driver. This problem does appear to be workstation specific and is also specific to the 2X Client window.

We have all our users defaulted to the 2X Universal print driver in Terminal Services. THe user will launch the application and print out a report (Crystal) and nothing happens. Usually Adobe Reader would open but not now. I have uninstalled / reinstall Adobe and the same problem.

So I logged my user into Terminal Services via RDP and did not change the print driver and had the user print out the report and adobe opened on the local PC just as if I was logged in via the published application.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

    Hey,
Open the 2X client on the workstation with problem.
Go to the options and there make sure that view document to print is selected.
And on the bottom, make sure PDF is selected from the drop down list. Actually it is selected by default.
Now, when you print, the reader will open and you can print from there.

Post subject: 2X Universal Print Driver.

    Tom,

Thank you for the suggestion but that was the first thing I thought was that there was a change in the settings. This is not the case. Adobe just will not open. I thought perhaps a conflict with the current version of Adobe but I have rolled back to Acrobat Reader 7 and the same problem presist.

You sure that it only happens to certain workstations?
Can you check whether the Universal Printing is enabled in the server side?
