Hello, We have a 3rd party application which is struggling to open windows in a single screen. Of course, the finger pointing begins and they blame 2X. We think it's their application. Currently this is hosted on a 2008 Server, and I know there were improvements in 2008 R2 with the /multimon switch. We've tested in native Terminal Services, and the problem does indeed go away with /multimon. Reinstallation of the server is an option, however we'd like to find more information on 2X's implementation of the RDP protocol, the /multimon switch, or any combination of the above. The "how's" of 2X are sparse; there's a lot of good sales garbage which tells you what it should do..but it's hard to find technical information on what it really does. Cany any one speak to their experience with 2008 R2 and an application that spans monitors?? How is the /multimon switch implemented? Is is somwhere in the 2X interface? Is it the same option as before with the "Span Desktop Across Monitors" option? How does 2X interact with native RDP? Does 2X have it's own RDP implementation or does it utilize whichever RDP client exists on the machine? Thanks.
Hi there, you might consider to open a support ticket as well. Anyway, 2x doesn't have a own RD-protocoll. it's using in case of Microsoft the native Microsoft RDP. Assuming that you use the latest 2xServer AND 2xClient, 10.0.1162 RDP 7 is supported and for this even multi monitoring For setting see 2xClient -> connection properties -> Display. For multi monitor requirements have a look here (http://www.murgee.com/multiple-monitors ... s/desktop/). Kind regards,
