i've got a macbook alu, 2ghz 2GB, and i've just installed parallels. everything work fine but when i run dxdiag i got "parallels video adapter" instead of 9400m in the display box. how do i use hardware acceleration under parallels?

It is correct, in Virtual machine almost all hardware is virtual, in our case it is Vesa compatible videocard
To use 3dx acceleration check corresponding box, in Configure- Video
