Ok i am totally new to Mac and Parallels etc.

I use 3ds Max 2009 and 2011. I use an I7 for a main workstation and have several render nodes in my home office as well. I now have a development project for Mac so i bought an iMac I7 machine. I would like to use my iMac as a render node when needed. Not sure i will actually use 3ds Max on it but i guess anything is possible. But my immediate need is to have a nice render node when i need it.

So how should i set this iMac up? Should i use boot camp to set up a real win pro 7 64 bit install which i have sitting here waiting to install or should i do it all through parallels. I plan on installing Parallels anyway for other things Although i am not sure what.

I would prefer to do it all through Parallels so i dont have to mess with boot camp but only if i will get good performance etc. Can i use both Max 2009 and Max 2011?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

So any help at all would be much appreciated!!

A buddy who uses Mac and Parallels is advising against using boot camp for anything So i really dont know what to do.
