Has anyone tried upgrading from PD3 (latest version) to PD4 (latest version) with OUT bootcamp - in other words with ONLY a VM (WinXP Pro SP3) on the machine. AND, with NO other programs in Windows - so I'm looking to see if ANYONE has been successful with this and HOW fast is their machine running PD4/WinXP Pro sp3 in PD4????
I have done this on a Macbook with Windows XP Professional SP3 with no errors, clean install, and it runs very fast. Good luck.
Hello MugsyMD, Is it really much more slow in comparison with PD3? One of the possible reasons is impropper processor driver installed in Windows. So could you plaese check it as here http://kb.parallels.com/en/5810 ? And also how much memory is allocated to the virtual machine?
