Guys I wonder if anyone can help with this issue:- Our previous set up was a simple router and an Airport Express unit connecting to our three Apple computers one of which the Imac has Parallels 3.0 build 5608 installed. The system worked well and we could collect email using Outlook and upload web pages using FireZilla. We have just changed the system to A BT Voyager 240 ADSL router connected to an Airport Extreme unit. The three Apple computers that connect to the system very easily in OS X and allow access to the internet using parallels. However, we cannot upload emails or web pages using FireZilla. We have spoken with our ISP and his comment was you have a complicated system it looks as if there is a block on a fire wall some where. After checking the system we cannot see any problems and no settings have changed from the system with the Airport Express unit. Does anyone have any thoughts on this please.
Look in the FireZilla documentation for the network requirements, like the ports it needs to be opened and protocols it uses. I suspect this is an FTP client, try playing with the passive/non passive connection settings. FTP connections can be very firewall unfriendly.
The best way to do this, is to use network monitor software, like Wireshark, from http://wireshark.org
