Crash -- "A Device Driver has Pool"

I got a spectacular BSOD that is bigger than the blue screen, and scrolls off the top. I saw the message just now say "A device driver has pool"

Situation: I connected a USB printer to the microsoft windows (XP, service pack 2).

This same printer was connected, and working, yesterday.

What I tried to do: In device manager, deleted all USB devices. Shut down windows. Disabled USB controller in VM config. Reboot windows. Shut down windows. Enable USB controller. Restart windows.

As soon as I checked the printer in Devices -> USB -> printer, windows gave a "clunk-clink", and then a BSOD.

The printer is HP psc 750 xi all-in-one.

    Hello!
Assuming that you did installed drivers for printer on your VM try to use bonjour software for your printer!
    This link helped me before:
    http://kb.parallels.com/entry/42/314/0/

I think this will be necessary to reinstall Parallels Tools also, they might be damaged by your printer drivers...

By the way. What was the BSOD number?

The only "number" was just that line of text.

Bonjour works, sort-of, for printing, but all the pages come out in reverse order. Ruins checks.

Bonjour doesn't help for the scanner (it's an all-in-one device).
