    Hi,

We are just in the process of evaluating 2X and I have more than likely missed something somewhere in the setup / configuration but its got me stumped at the moment.

After setting up and successfully testing the 2X Application Server I've moved on to setting up and testing the Web Portal. Installation went without a hitch and I can log on to the Admin page just fine and set the Farm settings, however when I try and go to the web page from a client PC (http://2xserver/2XWebPortal/Logon.aspx)

    - login page looks as expected (e.g. Welcome to the Access Portal)
    - page states 2X Client detected
    - username is already filled in for me in the format; username@domain (UPN format)
    - enter password and click Log In and the page just refreshes wiping the password box, but no error message or anything else for that matter, another words still at login.
    - I've checked this forum and documentation and from what I see all the configuration should be okay.

Update: I've just noticed that there is a .Net 2.0 error happening as well which is looking for a directory that doesn't exist. C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\2XWebService\Images\Farm_0

Another strange thing is when you create the Farm on the Admin page all seems fine (no errors), but if you reboot the server the next time you try to access either the admin page or the client logon page it will tell you the Farm has not been created yet and all Farm information is gone.

    Configuration details:

2X Server: Win 2008 R2, RDS installed, RDS licensing, domain member server 2X Version = 8.0 Build 819

    Client PC: Win XP SP3, IE7, 2X Version = 8.0 Build 219

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Hi,
This is because of rights issue. I had the same problem.
Go to C:\inetpub\wwwroot\2XWebService and add the following user to images security tab.
    see the attached sheet.

    Thanks Sanjay,

Spot on - changed the permissions and it works like a champ.
Thank you very much for the reply and fix, saved me hours of tearing my hair out.

    cheers,

    Matt
