Hello, I plan to buy an imac and use Parallels to run Windows XP on it. If I have an application that needs to access the network card in Windows XP virtualized and that needs a special MAC address, is that going to work in Parallels? Thank you.
Can you specify the application in question? It is possible to change the Mac address for the virtual machine, however, the network adapter is a virtualized one and is detected, as far as I remember, as a RealTek network adapter. So, how the application would work depends on how exactly does it check the adapter and for what purpose.
This is something I am trying to write and the application just access the MAC address to check the licence which is linked to the network card identifier, in this case the MAC address.
