Hi, since using xp on parallels 4 I've had so much trouble with PC game resolution!! I'm sure I'm not alone in this but couldn't find a helpful article.

Basically all PC games I run (if they work at all) are reduced to a miniscule size when I play them on my VM. Some games I can just about increase the resolution to a decent size (although I still can't play them full screen) but many either don't have large enough resolution sizes to nearly fill the screen or just don't have the option!!

Why is it that these games work fine fullscreen on a PC but revert the VM window to stupidly small sizes when i run them there?? Every time I try full screen they either stay as small with a massive black backdrop or the picture dies completely! Can anyone help??

    Hi CallumMcLean,

Go to Configure => Video => Increase the Video RAM => Select the Option " Adjust the host Computer's screen resolution in full Screen " => Also Select the option " Enable 3D Acceleration " => Click OK.

    This should fix.

Okay, how much video RAM do you think it's worth having?

    Hi CallumMclean,

You can increase the Video RAM to Maximum limit only when the Windows Virtual Machine is Shutdown.
