I am trying to print reports out of a certain program and fonts are getting shrunk and replaced by other types of fonts. I am running application server version 6.0 build (419) If anyone can help with a solution to this problem that would be great. I have looked in the temp folder on our server and the emf file looks right but the final pdf that is printing is messed up. Somewhere between those two things is where the problem is.
Hi there, Most probably, you are missing some fonts on the client side. If you print in BMP format does the printout come out correctly? Does the particular font you are using has a flag stating that is is not redistributable? Nixu
Hi there, Open the pdf document on the Server using Adobe Reader, File-> Properties->Fonts. Here you would see the list of fonts and the actual font being used (here the font and the actual font should be identical). Open the Pdf document using Adobe Reader on the client PC, go to File-> Properties->Fonts, If the font is not identical to the actual font then the font is not redistributable. Pdf is capable of embedding redistributable fonts, but if the font is not redistributable, the font is not embedded. Solutions: 1) Install the font on the client PC 2) Make use of BMP printing. Nixu
