I am evaluating whether or not to use Parallels for professional SUSE 10.1 Linux development on my January 2006 20" iMac Core Duo 2.0GHz. Once the new Mac Pro-compatible version of Parallels is working well, I'll be moving my Parallels license to my new Mac Pro 3.0GHz Quad Xeon with 4.0GB RAM, but there is no rush to do this, as the iMac will work well enough. How stable is Parallels Desktop running Linux (especially OpenSUSE 10.1 with KDE 3.5), once installed? In the recent past, have any Parallels builds "broken" previously working Linux VMs? How happy are those running similar setups?
