This works if Parallels is not running, but does not work when Parallels is running. MBP Retina 15 inch with a Thunderbolt display. 1) Working on MBP with Thunderbolt attached (USB Apple keyboard and network cable attached to Thunderbolt Display) 2) Disconnect Thunderbolt. 3) Start Airplay mirroring to Apple TV do presentation to client in Parallels. Finish presentation. 4) Turn off Airplay mirroring 5) Plug Thunderbolt display back into MBP If Parallels is running the Apple USB keyboard attached to the Thunderbolt display does not work nor does the network connection attached to the Thunderbolt display. If Parallels is not running everything works fine. If I shut down Parallels and reboot Mac everything will work again through the Thunderbolt display. It is as if Parallels caches something relating to Airplay mirroring and does not release the cache with the mirroring is stopped. Any suggestions?
Hi CJ-Chicago, You say you also need to restart Mac OS to bring things back to normal - but what happens when you just shutdown Parallels Desktop? If Host OS reboot is required each time, the issue may not be caused by Parallels. Let's do a "clean" experiment - please try to remove Parallels Desktop (it will not remove your virtual machine) as described here - http://kb.parallels.com/114624 - and try to reproduce the issue. When you're done with the experiment, you can redownload Parallels Desktop here: http://www.parallels.com/directdownload/pd8 Please post the results here.
