I am running Yosemite (10.10.2) and Parallels (v. 10.1.4) running Windows 7. I use Parallels only to run a program called PCLAW, billing and accounting program by Lexis/Nexis. I do not run in Coherence mode. I use 5 mission control desktops (or Spaces). I have assigned Parallels to Desktop 4 but it will not Stick. Instead, Parallels constantly switches to another desktop (usually desktop 2) and pushes other programs that were assigned there, such as Firefox, somewhere else. When PC Law is running, I have 3 parallels related icons in the Dock (Parallels, Windows 7 and PC Law). I have tried assigning them all to Desktop 4. Same result. Any advice?
Hello ChrisG1, Please follow the steps suggested below to resolve the issue. 1. Uninstall Parallels Desktop 10 using PD uninstaller as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/en/122653 2. Download latest build from: www.parallels.com/directdownload/pd10 3. Install it as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/en/122647 (Note: un installing and re installing Parallels Desktop will not effect your Virtual Machine) 4.
