    Hi,

I'm a bit new here, so please bear with me...

I've had Parallels Desktop 6 installed on my Mac since I got the Mac last month. I'm well pleased with it so far; my old Windows stuff works better on the VM than it did on my old Windows machine!

However, today I wanted to import an audio CD into iTunes under the Mac OS X. I inserted the CD and it seemed to vanish completely. It didn't open iTunes as it is supposed to with my configuration, it didn't appear as a device in the iTunes sidebar, or in the Finder sidebar, and it had, to all intents and purposes, completely vanished. As far as the Mac OS X was concerned the CD wasn't in my CD drive.

And then I thought to check the Windows side via Parallels and, sure enough, it was showing up in My Computer as a Windows drive.

Now, when I put a CD in my Mac, I really want it to default to being a 'Mac' CD unless I request otherwise. Could someone please point me in the right direction to achieve this please?

    Thanks in advance.

Okay, I sorted my own problem by trial and error...

I clicked on the two red lines on my Mac menu bar, chose 'Devices', then 'CD/DVD 1. 'default CD/DVD was ticked, so I clicked on 'Disconnect'.

That seemed to do the trick.
