Hello all, I and about 6 of my co-workers are having the same problem while trying to use Parallels to run Windows XP and AutoCAD: we are experiencing small freezes of about 30 seconds to 2 minutes long that freeze only AutoCAD and Windows Explorer -- everything else in Parallels and every mac program continues to run fine. In AutoCAD, most of the freezes happen when trying to navigate to project files on our server, open a file, save a file, ctrl+z to undo (since that references a temp file), but also 'randomly' happen. In Windows Explorer, generally freezes happen when trying to navigate to a project file on our server. Our IT person keeps trying to install new images of machines he thinks are running fine, but the freezes still occur. I know it sounds like a problem with the way things communicate with the server, however none of the Mac side programs have this problem. Here's my specs: Model Name: Mac Pro Model Identifier: MacPro1,1 Processor Name: Dual-Core Intel Xeon Processor Speed: 3 GHz Number Of Processors: 2 Total Number Of Cores: 4 L2 Cache (per processor): 4 MB Memory: 16 GB 667 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM Bus Speed: 1.33 GHz Any thoughts? I am beyond frustrated right now, especially when I consider that literally HOURS of my day are wasted, sitting here waiting on a program to unfreeze. HOURS.
