Autostart VM's does not start when they are stored on external disk

Due to Apple's anemic disk sizes in their default builds, I have connected a USB4 NVME enclosure to my Mac mini pro that I use as my VM host. The external disk is connected in Thunderbolt mode and gets around 2.7GB/sec read and write. This disk contains a Linux VM that runs a docker container version of a mailserver. It has been set up to load when the Mac boots, and if I place the VM on the internal disk, it starts automatically on boot like it's supposed to.

However, after moving it to the external drive, it does not start automatically. I have to start it manually even though it is set to start on boot. I am pretty sure this is due to the external disk is not mounted at the time in the startup when Parallels looks for the VM.

This could be solved by recoding Parallels to recheck every 30 seconds if there are missing VMs on external disks. So that once the disk is mounted, it can start any autostart VMs
