Hi all, my posts must be unpopular, as I rarely if ever get a response! Anyway, not to be daunted, here I go again. After a series of mishaps (maybe I have been unlucky) with reluctance I have reverted to the previous so called stable build 1970. I uninstalled the 'Tools' and fired up the previous DMG file, then reinstalled Parallels and the Tools. No problem at all in reverting, unlike some others! My problems with the beta were many and varied, including odd error messages in XP and Vista, concluding in Vista simply not booting up. I did a system restore, and a 'last known' good config. Got Vista up again, which I did not want to loose, but still did not run as per build 1970. Now I just can't see how Parallels beta could effect Windows, but as is often pointed out, it is a beta!! Now happily, I have both XP and Vista running perfectly. Can't get MEPIS to run however, but while I liked playing with Linux, I don't really need it. Maybe in the next version, I will give it another go...for fun only though. Sorry if I upset some Linux friends, but I think with Mac O SX, XP and Vista, you have more than one needs. My two penneth worth!
Good for you! For me, even Vista is unnecessary. I won't use Vista for as long as I can. Mac OS X and Windows XP (Corporate version) under Parallels 1970 are quite enough for me, though once the new Parallels is stable I will try it. Microsoft can expect no more revenue from me.
Thanks for your comment James, the Aston going well? I paid the princely sum of $10 A for my beta Vista, which in true Bond manner, self destructs in June 2007. I must say Vista is quite impressive ( but nothing like OS X) Agree that the monster (Microsoft) should not be feed too often.
