I have just installed the version 10.5 2X server on two 2008r2 servers, configured as master and backup. Each time I press apply I get a message like this: Connecting to 2X Backup Server. Local 2X Secure Client Gateway service has been refreshed. Local 2X Publishing Agent Service has been refreshed. Backup server "SERVERNAME" failed to reply. Some problems have been encountered. Check the above log for further information. I have done nothing else but installing the program on each server, start the console on the master and add the Backup server in. Everything looks ok, when i check the backup server connections in the console, no problems reported. but this message i shown each time I press apply. How do i get past this?
Actually I got this working by installing the 10.1 version, where the backup server was working fine, and then running the 10.5 installer on top of that, to upgrade to the latest version. Don't know why a clean install of the 10.5 did not work right away.
