Hi every one I want to share my experience trying to solving a black desktop after updating to latest version of Ubuntu. If you try to reinstall Parallels Tool in gui mode it won't appears nothing. So the best way to solve this problem is to press: fn + ctrl + opt and F1 So type cd /usr/lib/parallels-tools and sudo ./install choose Remove and restart Ubuntu VM. So now you can reinstall properly Parallels Tools as usual in graphic mode and after finishing this install, restart again Ubuntu and it will works again. P.S. Sorry for my english
