Since updating to 12.2.0 Build 414591, my Mac randomly shuts off its screen, keyboard, and mouse when running a Windows 10 VM. Everything on both machines is patched up to today, no Windows, Mac, or Parallels updates are available. This only happens when Parallels is running. The Windows machine is set to never sleep and never hibernate. The Mac will turn off its screen after 30 minutes, but it also is set to never sleep. When the Mac turns off the screen, it comes back with a key press or a mouse click. When it occurs, the monitor senses no output from the DisplayPort and goes into sleep mode. The mouse has power, as does the keyboard, but no keystroke or mouse action I can find will cause the monitor to activate - and I've hit every key and key combination I know. The system seems to be totally disconnected from all finger-based user I/O. I can SSH into the Mac and see that the VM is running, is using CPU resources, and from the firewall I can see that it is using bandwidth. IOW, it's not frozen. Neither is the Mac. Both are running fine save for the lack of a video display. I can kill all Parallels processes but the screen doesn't come back. I have to do a "shutdown -r now" to force a reboot to get control of the Mac back. Is this a known issue? Is there a resolution? Are there logs to check?
