Boot Camp Updates - Should I do them

    I am running Parallels build 6.0.12092 MAC Early 2011 OS 10.6.8, with an imported boot camp, Win 7 64. I am receiving notices of a Boot Camp update. Should I install the boot camp updates or ignore them. Once I previously installed an update and it seem to crash my VM.

    Also, has anyone had problems booting straight into boot camp windows following a Parallels VM install?
