I am running Parallels Build 3186 (the software tells me there are no updates for me)

    My Problem:

Since I shut down my VM yesterday with no errors or anything, I can't get into Windows XP today. The boot sequence starts just fine and after the Windows XP start screen (black one with the progress bar in the middle) there is the blue screen with a Windows XP Logo (if you have multiple users you could choose the one to log on here).

But when this screen comes up the booting just freezes, although I can still move the mouse pointer. The boot sequence doesn't continue.

When running in Safe Mode the same thing happens at the exact same screen. Tried it with different memory allocations and accelaration modes.

    Any ideas?

I have the same issue. It appears that Parallels is trying to log in as Adminstrator, and if you have changed your accounts in Windows, it can no longer log into the admin account. hit funtion f8 during boot and then you can log in to your account. as for fixing this issue, im still working on it.
