I have a problem with Bridged network on my windows 8.1 VM where by it has stopped connecting to network when the windows 8.1 IPV4 is set to auto assign . If i manually enter IP , subnet , GW an DNS details it connects fine but the DHCP side is just not working . All works fine in shared mode . I have been using this in bridged mode every day with no problems but today it just stopped working . I have tested this on my work WIFI and also at home and the same both ends when the Windows8.1 VM has IPV4 set to auto. Can you let me know the reason for this and the way i can fix this as i don't have a static IP i can use permanently on my work network .
