Bringing up a website without a domain extension

    At my work there are two websites that require internet explorer to work.

    They do not have domain extensions like .com .net .org

    Here is an example of one:
    http://taweb/wfc/logon

    It pulls up in Safari just fine (but unable to go past the home page with Safari)
    It pulls up in IE6 on the Windows PC in the office.
    It does not pull up in IE6 on Parallels.

    Not sure what to do. Perhaps it is a way the network (connected by ethernet) reads the virtual machine of Windows?
