Bought PD 3.0 and in midst of installing, got notification that newer version was available. Not knowing about issues with 5160, i just clicked 'yes' on everything. I migrated my XP professional SP 2 over to my macbook pro.

during install had some prompts about drivers and tried to follow parallels instructions on what to do but never quite got the same prompt screens or options shown in book or online... soldiered through hoping for best

but after windows starts to load, a blue screen of death flashes so quickly i can't read it and it gives several options to try and start normally, safe mode with networking, last known good config, safe mode, etc.... trying normal it keeps looping back to same routine and BSOD... safe mode with networking doesn't work for either me or "administrator" (I am the administrator.)

the Windows XP does appear to work in safe mode, but that's not going to cut it when we spend $70, right?

also, my Macbook Pro's 112 hard drive only has 35 gigs free. the virtual machines are there ... i can't find the virtual machine tools or uninstaller... ironically, this software and its documentation are extremely unlike what I expect Macware to be.

I have two VMs .. one is "migrated XP" and the other is "XP" ... how can I delete the "XP?"

Is there anything I should/can run on the Windows laptop to help? Do I need to do another migration? (I won't be able to do that without deleting BOTH virtual machines)

i'm going to try and reinstall Parallels now... hoping that the "migrated XP" will function correctly with the reinstall....

not much room left on the hard drive as margin for error/experimentation!

suggestions would be very appreciated. i can see the promise here, but the reality sure doesn't live up to the glowing reviews.
