BSOD When Installing USB Mouse Driver Update in Windows 7

    When I try to install USB Mouse Driver update via Windows Update in Windows 7 Home I get Blue Screen of Death. Same thing happens when I'm installing Windows 7 Service Pack 1 using Windows Update.

    The error occurs in the following driver: prl_usb_mng32.sys Then windows restarts.

    What can I do remedy this?
