I've attempted to recreate this issue on numerous windows installs, and have only been able to reproduce it (it reproduces reliably) on my parallels install running RC2, and my friends install running the same. XP Pro volume license on both boxes.

When you double click the msi the first time, it works fine. If you cancel and double click again, it pops up a "Windows Installer" dialog with the commandline options for msiexec. Any and all subsequent launchings will produce the same result.

This of course, pales in comparison to the next issue.

If you double click the stub setup.exe that VS produces for the msi, it will launch anywhere from 3-5 instances of the installer. This happens every time. If necessary, I can provide an exe and an msi that will reproduce the issue.

I cloned my pristine base install of XP, and it had the issue. I also did a fresh install with the same results.

This has not occurred on previous RC builds of parallels.

Let me know if you need more info.
