I'm running the Parallels 8 trial with an XP VM on a mid 2012 MacBook Pro(Mountain Lion 10.8.3) and thought I'd catalogue some bugs in Coherence mode I found.

    1. Fullscreen doesn't work right with some programs(e.g. Homeworld). The Finder doesn't lose focus, so the Dock and menu bar stay floating above the fullscreen Windows program. You have to manually release the mouse from Parallels using ctrl+alt then click on the Windows program to give it focus and hide the Dock/menu bar.

    2. Sometimes when exiting fullscreen the Windows task bar unhides itself even though I set it to stay hidden. It's impossible to re-hide it unless I exit and enter Coherence again.

    3. If you set the start menu to classic mode it refuses to open unless a Windows program has focus.

    4. When using the start menu it will sometimes freeze and turn dark or suddenly close itself.

    5. Sometimes if you open a Windows directory from Parallel's Windows Dock folder it doesn't receive focus and stays hidden behind your running OS X apps.

    6. XP keeps reverting back to showing window contents while dragging. I believe Parallels is resetting it.

Otherwise it's been working fine and the performance is amazing. Parallels Desktop is good but these usability problems are keeping it from being truly great.
