Hi, just wanted to make you aware of a problem I just encountered with build 3036. It was in coherence mode at the time, I don't know for sure if it was a factor or not.

Basically Mail started being unable to open new compose windows. In the Console it was logging the following:

    Mail[325] Error (1007) creating CGSWindow

Then I found that opening documents in BBEdit resulted in a "cropped" window about 25% of the frame-size (with the drawer where it should have been, as if attached to a fullsized window) and no window controls on right or bottom (scroll bars, grow box missing)

Then I found the Console window itself corrupted, with a distorted rendering of the title bar & tool bar where the toolbar should have been, with the title bar apparently missing (at least the top of the window was not clickable/draggable where the title bar controls should have been)

I thought there was a general problem and was about to restart when it just occured to me that coherence may be doing a bit of voodoo with the windowing system to achieve what it does. So I quit Parallels and everything returned to normal. I relaunched parallels and went back into coherence mode with no problems and haven't had the problem return, but there was definitely a connection.

I'm on a MacBook Pro 2.33 GHz, 3GB RAM, and I have a few things running, but nothing very non-standard: Mail, Safari, Firefox, iCal, Transmit, BBEdit, Pages, Photoshop CS3 beta, Terminal, Preview, iTunes, Adium, Eclipse 3.2... and I did find a stray InputManager which I didn't realise was running and have since removed (Inquisitor), which wouldn't be helpful.

Just FYI. Loving build 3036 though :)

    Regards,

    Alex

It just happened again (same overall Mac OS X session, no restarts in between) - this time Safari was getting the (1007) CGSWindow error and couldn't create new windows. Just switching out of coherence mode solved the problem.
