build 5600 post upgrade issues

Hi

ive just installed the latest build 5600 of parallels desktop for mac and I seem to have an issue with accessing the internet under OSX 10.5.2 when running a virtual appliance that also accesses the internet.

can anyone help me work out what is happening?

when I run up the VM I lose internet access from my host OS (macOSX) however internet access within the guest os is unaffected.

This did not happen prior to upgrading to 5600 and is the only thing afaik, that has changed.


as a test after I started the Vm and could access all pages etc from my hosts os with no issues, as soon as I tried to ping or do anything (ftp/ping/http) from within the VM, my access from the host OS disappeared until the VM was stopped.

just to make sure that the issues are not DNS or firewall related, I was trying to access a web server inside my home network via IP address.
