Will the next release include the ability to use the Camera and USB devices for MacOS VMs?

This definitely doesn't work? Can't get my Wifi USB Adapter to connect or install on Win11 ARM64.

My issues is with using the Camera and USB within a MacOS VM running Ventura. I have no issues with Windows 11 VM.

Wait, are you saying that a USB WLAN adapter, let's say TP-Link, Asus, etc. will work inside the Windows 11 VM on an M1 Mac? Are you sure?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your feedback.

The Apple M-series chip has an Arm architecture (unlike the x86/x64 architecture typical of classic desktop processors). And in a virtual machine on a Mac with an M-series chip, it is currently possible to run only Window 11 Arm--the Windows version for processors with Arm architecture (for example, it is used on devices with mobile chips like Microsoft Surface Pro X). And indeed, despite the built-in compatibility layer that allows you to run x86/x64 applications on Windows Arm, some applications, or drivers do not work.

We advise you to contact the device support team to inquire about when support Windows 11 ARM will be implemented.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your feedback.

Please note that, in contrast to the regular Parallels virtual machines, macOS ARM virtual machines (that run on Mac computers with Apple M1 Chip) are built using Apple's Virtualization framework (https://developer.apple.com/documentation/virtualization), and they are currently quite limited in their functionality (see http://kb.parallels.com/125561 -- see "Known issues and limitations").

Our Development Team is working together with Apple to expand the functionality of these virtual machines.

We advise you to subscribe to this article http://kb.parallels.com/125561 ("Get Updates" button) to get informed once there are any updates on this.

Parallels macOS VMs on Apple silicon use Apple's Virtualization framework. Apple's virtualization framework does not currently support USB passthrough. This is something that would need to be implemented by Apple before Parallels can add support for it. You can send a feature request to apple at https://feedbackassistant.apple.com/ or the feedback assistant app. Select "Developer Technologies & SDKs" as the feedback area and select "Virtualization framework" as the technology.
