I recently had a major problem with my virtual machine (running Windows XP)... which led to me having to create a fresh installation of Windows. I was wondering whether I can just make a copy of the new (and working) .pvm file, and either stick this in a folder somewhere on my Mac, or even burn it to disc as a backup? I was hoping that then, if anything bad happens in the future - I could simply copy this back to my Parallels directory, hook Parallels back up it.. and everything will be just as it was when the copy of the file was made. Can somebody please let me know if this is possible, or whether you have to follow some other 'official' backup process. I had a problem using and reverting to snapshots in the past... which is why I don't want to rely on them again! Thanks for any help.
