I upgraded Parallels Desktop to the latest build (I went from 4.0.3810 to 4.0.3846), and now I'm getting a Parallels share appearing in the Finder and Path Finder sidebars. I also noticed a new MacFUSE pref pane that I never had before, and I figure the two are related. Seeing as I was able to use the previous version of Parallels without MacFUSE, I'm wondering if I can remove the pref pane, in hopes that this will clean up my Finder and Path Finder sidebars.
MacFuse I wonder why no one has bothered to reply, even though people may know.... Go to Mac HD drive/Library/PreferencePanes & drag MacFuse.prefpane to Trash.
There's a even simpler way to remove a non-apple pref pane from the preferences: right click on the pref pane you want to de-install and select "Remove". @techhead: people may not have replied to the question because they haven't read it yet.
