    Hello,

I currently run Parallels 6 on my pre-unibody 15" Macbook Pro. The guest OS is 32 bit WinXP, originally installed on a bootcamp partition. The host OS is Snow Leopard 10.6.X (latest)

My primary reason for doing this is to run Solidworks. I typically run it under Parallels in coherence mode so that I can access both Solidworks and Mac Applications. This is fine most of the time, but occasionally, I prefer to reboot in Windows so that I can get better performance.

I was considering using Rivatuner to soft mod the 8600M GT video card to allow Solidworks to run in Real mode. I know this can be done when run dual boot, but I don't know what the impact would be when run as a virtual machine under Parallels.

Anyone done this or know if I can do this?

    Thanks,
