Im new to parallel and mac so i wanted to know if this is possible
I have macbook air 8gb ram and 128gb SSD the 2012 model

So i need to run some window programs like ms office (the mac version is buggy)

So, heres my question 128GB is little space i couldnt afford the 256gb ssd version

So if i buy a SDHC card class 10 which reads speed up to 45mb/s will i be able to use this as a window 8 partition

    is this even possible ?

Windows 8 uses approximately 20 gb space for the os, found this on a window 8 forum http://www.eightforums.com/installation-setup/13013-how-much-space-does-windows-8-need.html
Another thing you should check on is can the macbook air use the size of SDHC or SDXC card you want to use, for the purpose you want to use it(SD cards are intended for temporary storage)
Found this on the apple support forum:https://discussions.apple.com/message/18627007#18627007

The SD card might work but have you considered installing windows 8 on a external drive? I know its something extra to carry around, but it will work from an external drive.

Right - the best option for you is to carry an external drive with your Windows virtual machine on it.
