I was able to migrate my Windows XP system from my Dell computer via WiFi over to my Mac computer (the Windows XP system was already loaded on the Dell system when I bought it, but it came with a reinstallation Windows XP Home Edition Including Service Pack 1a disc).

However, I would like to install a clean Windows XP operating system from the disc provided with the Dell computer. Will there be any problems with me doing that? Would I have to uninstall what I migrated over first in order for it to work? Will the Mac system/Parallels accept the Dell Windows XP disc?

I received the blue screen of death when I tried the first time.
Thanks for any help on this.

    Hi MarkT1,

Yes, you can install Windows XP in Parallels Desktop with the disc which you have.
Please follow the steps as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/4729
And in the steps 6 of the above KB article , enable 'Customize setting before installation' and click 'Continue'
The Virtual Machine Configure dialog box will appear before proceeding the installation, Go to Hardware Tab of the Configure dialog box -> CPU & Memory -> Change CPUs to '1' and Memory to '512'.

Close the Configure dialog box and proceed with the installation.
