Can I use the upgrade option if I own a permanent license for Parallels Desktop 12/14?

I just bought another Mac recently.
My old Mac is running Parallels Desktop 16 with a permanent license which I intend to keep this license.
I need another license for parallels and currently got a trial for 14 days. If I look at my licenses - I have a permanent license for both Parallels Desktop 12 and Parallels Desktop 14. Will I be able to use one of these license and do an upgrade instead of buying a brand new as it will save some money?
Please help to confirm.
