can not connect to the old Parallels shared folders on reinstall

I need to connect to the old Parallels shared folders from WInXp desktop via the new shortcut because that is where I keep my data and working files


\\.psf\hw2\Aaaa_start_page2.htm

is the WinXP path to a links home page I keep on this machine for common use by all my browsers


in my updated MS IE7 it goes to a grey dialog box:-

Opening connection

user name HUGHWATKINS2B692\Gæst

but the password is neither known to me nor created by me


Is this a WinXP net working issue?

because the æ in Guest is created by the the danish WinXP system
and the Mac OS is in english

which OS "owns" the shared folders and permissions

Help please to fnd or change the password

this is the first VM which has not had access out of 7 or 8 experiments
