can not stop compressing process ???

since 2 days back i started the compressing process .. now i can not stop it despite a press "cancel " it still going on and the wind clock rotate endlessly ..

if i try to quit and open again it will not start and said : the virtual machine is in compress state and going on endlessly ??

what to do now ?? i'm afraid that i will delete the whole windows Xp 28 GB .....>
