I'm running Parallels on Mountain Lion, and since the last updated that I installed - Build 7.0.15106 - (Revision 786747; August 3, 2012) - I can only boot the guest OS from my account (I installed the Parallels update from my account so this is likely why its my account only). I have multiple user accounts on my MAC for my family members, plus a guest account and an "admin" account - Parallels only works from my own non-admin account. I have both a Vista and a Win7 guest OS and neither of them work except when I run Parallels from my account. The failure mode is that Parallels starts and the normal Win7 (or Vista) process starts with the looping green bar across the Windows boot screen and then it stops after 10-15 seconds and never resumes. At this point the only way to stop Parallels is to force-quit on the prl_vm_app application. I've run a "Fix Permissions" on the drive that contains the Parallels application (didn't help), but at this point I'm rather stuck on what else to try. Any ideas? Thanks! Mike
First - you need to place all VMs to Users/Shared/ folder on Mac. And follow this KB: http://kb.parallels.com/en/9303
