Hey, I'm wondering if Parallels can work properly with aliases on the host mac's filesystem. As in does it let you navigate around folders and then click through an alias to the folder it references. I want to work with a visual studio project that has this alias setup and VMware Fusion that i'm currently using doesn't support these aliases to folders so i can't copy the files or work with them in visual studio at all I'm considering upgrading to parallels but would like to know if it can cope with this, so if anyone is running a VM, I'd appreciate it if you could try creating a folder alias on your mac and then navigating to it within the VM in windows and seeing if it lets you click through and get to where you want to. Cheers Jim
parallels with mac alias yes, i have successfully integrated the mac alias with parallels and also windows (separate pc's). i manage a law office network with mac/pc/parallels running all over the place. although windows has a bad rap for not communicating with mac, in this instance, it does work. happy hunting, Joneser
