Cannot boot XP from Parallels using BC partition

I installed a clean version of Windows XP Pro into boot camp and that boots fine. Since Parallels Tools for Boot Camp is no longer needed, I went straight to try Parallels.

It fails to boot by saying "Could not read from the selected boot disk."

No other modes work: Safe mode, Last known good config, etc.

What could be wrong..?~ =[

Which version of parallels are you uisng?
